# Get Transfer Status

> Look up a coin transfer by the reference you sent.

Use this endpoint after a `processing` answer, after a timeout, or whenever you are unsure whether a transfer happened.

### Response

**HTTP 200** is returned for any known transfer, including failed ones. Read `data.state` to determine the outcome:

| `succeeded` | `transfer completed` | `acceptedAt`, `committedAt`, `coinsLedger` (single user wallet only) |
| `failed` | The failure message (e.g. `Insufficient Coins`) | `acceptedAt`, `committedAt`, `error` |

A **404** with `MONEY_V2_TRANSFER_NOT_FOUND` means no transfer with this reference was recorded, so it is safe to send it again. Right after a submit, there may be a brief window where an accepted transfer still reads as 404. Prefer retrying the original POST with the **same reference and identical payload**, which can never double-apply.

### Polling

Poll with backoff (for example, 0.5 s, 1 s, 2 s, then every 5 s) until `state` is `succeeded` or `failed`. Honour `Retry-After` on **503**.
